The Silver Line Elder Transport team is comprised of medical personnel with many years of healthcare experience. Each team member has been carefully screened through the state regulatory agencies to ensure the utmost safety for you and your loved ones. To provide the best in service in this industry we feel our team members must have a special personality, problem solving skills, and a strong sense of responsibility and professionalism. We are sure you will agree that each and every team member meets these criteria.
Silver Line Elder Transport offers a wide spectrum of healthcare professionals to meet your needs. Someone from our management team will review your needs and desires to ensure a perfect fit. We offer all levels of care including companions, certified nursing assistants, licensed practical nurses (LPN), and registered nurses (RN). The President of Silver Line Elder Transport is an occupational therapist with many years of healthcare experience working with the geriatric population. Even the Travel Coordinator Specialists have expertise in the travel needs of individuals with special medical needs including equipment management/rental, oxygen, handicap accessibility requirements, and dietary needs. They will ensure every detail of your journey will be addressed to meet the highest safety and comfort standards.
The following are some of the skills and services each discipline can provide:
Companion-This is someone who can accompany you throughout your journey and provide assistance in transportation, check-in, companionship, and guidance in the concept of traveling. The companion level caregiver can make sure you are settled in at your final destination if so desired. He or she can buy groceries, prepare meals, and prepare your home to your specifications before the return trip home. The companion level caregiver CANNOT provide any hands on assistance for you or your loved one. Certified Nursing Assistant-This is someone who can help you in all the above services as well as provide assistance with personal care needs. This can include assistance in and out of vehicles or seats, toileting tasks, bathing, dressing, and feeding. The CNA can change oxygen tanks and supervise medication administration with the client. This person CANNOT administer medication or change dressings on wounds.
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)-This team member is available to do the abovementioned tasks plus administer most medications. She/he is trained to assist diabetics in insulin management, catheter care, wound care, and numerous other medical needs.
Registered Nurse (RN) - This level of care includes all the abovementioned tasks plus a higher level of skill in medication management.
Travel Coordinator Specialist- Our travel specialists have many years of experience working with persons with special needs. They work closely with the management of Silver Line Elder Transport in assuring a smooth and safe journey. Our Specialists are able to coordinate transportation from door to door on an interstate or international level. All modes or transportation are accessible depending on your specified needs and requests. These needs will be determined between the client, Silver Line Elder Transport management, and the physician if indicated.
Silver Line Elder Transport will meet all your needs to ensure a safe and effortless journey for a day or a month. We are able to provide combinations of healthcare professionals upon determination of need or request. Our team will work closely with you and your family if desired. Of course we adhere to all privacy laws and will not share any medical information with those individuals not granted permission by you in writing.
