We have a highly qualified team to assist you in assessing, planning, and implementing the most simple to the most complex medical situations so that we can take the worry away from you and your loved ones. Our team will ensure the safest and most effortless travel you will ever experience.
- Companion Assistance: For individuals who request a companion we are happy to accommodate you. Our companions have diversified traveling experiences and are available to those who need a little tender loving care and basic airport assistance.
- Certified Nursing Assistant: This is a licensed professional who can accommodate those with a need for more medical assistance. This person can assist in the same duties as a companion but is trained in more “hands-on” medical equipment management.
- Licensed Practical Nurse, Registered Nurse: These nursing professionals can provide a higher level of medical care to those traveling with wounds, insulin-dependent diabetes, different types of ostomy care, or intractable pain.
- Physical or Occupational Therapist: These licensed professionals are experts in mobility and positioning challenges. Their scope of care for our clients includes airport assistance, airplane and automobile accessibility, hygiene care, and medication administration assistance.
- Travel Coordinator: This is the person with whom you will have the most interaction. The coordinator will ensure all details of your trip are complete. All trips are customized to the individuals’ requests and medical or emotional needs. This specialist can reserve the appropriate transportation, medical equipment, seat assignment, dietary requests, documentation coordination as well as staff, family, and health-care professional communication. A Travel Coordinator is available 24 hours a day 7 days a week to ensure your safety and happiness throughout the travel process.
- Medical Equipment Silver Line is happy to coordinate any equipment needs you may have and complete the necessary documentation to travel with this equipment. The most utilized equipment with our clients includes: wheelchairs, walkers, and oxygen. Silver Line has a supply of assistive devices for loan to our clients during their travels which includes, portable grab bars, gait belts, positioning devices, walkers, canes, and lightweight wheelchairs.
- Travel Consultant: Our consultant is available to those who wish to assist their family member themselves during a journey. We are happy to make all necessary arrangements and confer with you to ensure the safety and facilitation of your journey. Please refer to the fee schedule for the rate of service.
- Airport Assistance: This is a frequently utilized service for those who want Silver Line to assist them or their loved one in getting to and negotiating the airport. This service includes picking you and your baggage up at your home and driving you to the airport of your choice. We will secure your boarding passes, mark and check any luggage, assist you through the security check point with your bags, shoes, etc., and see you to your gate. The Silver Line staff will assist you in accessing or with personal needs in the restrooms. We will stay with you at the gate until your plane leaves the ground in case of a plane delay, gate change, or canceled flight. Your loved one awaiting your arrival will be notified of any delays in your departure. Upon your return the Silver Line staff person will meet you at the gate, attain your luggage and safely drive you home. This service includes one stop of your choice if you need groceries, prescriptions, or to pick up your pet from the kennel.
- Air or Ground Ambulance Coordination: These service are happily completed for you by our travel coordinator. After discussing your medical needs it is sometimes determined commercial flight is not the safest option for travel. Silver Line contracts these services through reputable companies throughout the country to ensure every need will be met no matter what your level of medical acuity or personal choice.
- Cruise or Train Travel: There are as many different requests to travel as there are ways to travel. Silver Line is please to be able to provide travel assistance to those who wish to explore the world or travel out west. For those wanting to travel by cruise ship or train we are happy to accommodate their wish. All arrangements can be made to ensure your comfort and accessibility in these modes of transportation. The Silver Line team member is able to accompany you on your trip or simply assist you in the preparation for your journey.

Many of our clients travel by train, and find an overnight Amtrak Roomette less stressful than airport travel.
